The Quality Engineer, Distribution is responsible for providing leadership and hands-on involvement to maintain and improve the quality of the Logistics and Distribution process. This position is responsible for driving continuous quality improvement projects to meet strategic and policy deployment objectives. This role will also be responsible for North America distribution complaint handling and internal quality objectives to ensure the effective and timely coordination, management, and monitoring of all complaints or quality metrics requiring investigation.

This position is part of the Quality department located in Romeoville, IL and will be onsite.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Lead Quality initiatives at the Romeoville, IL location by providing direct operational support and ensuring that quality is brought to necessary aspects of daily operations.

  • Drives site Customer Defect Tracking and Resolution daily management activities and data reporting.

  • Conduct trend analysis and evaluate data for quality improvement opportunities and provide signals to cross-functional departments.

  • Support with implementation and sustainment of the Quality Management System consistent with ISO, or other standards or commercial requirements as needed.

  • Partner with Operations to create, review, improve and implement changes related to the Quality Management System.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors (or higher) degree in a technical discipline preferred (Engineering or Manufacturing).

  • 3-5 years of experience in a progressive warehouse/distribution or manufacturing environment with a focus on quality.

  • Must be able to provide concise, relevant summaries of quality issues, changes needed or made, and results delivered. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with all levels of personnel.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) including skills with charts and pivot tables.

  • ISO 9001 experience or knowledge of the standard

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $74000-$82000 year. This job is also eligible for bonus pay .
