BREWER SCIENCE INC Software Engineer Intern in Rolla, Missouri

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Software Engineer Intern (summer full-time, 40 hours per week; fall semester part-time, 15-20 hours per week). This position will be Remote in Missouri.

Summary: Software Engineer Interns are responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining software applications that support and enhance BSI systems and processes. They assist with supporting SaaS systems, database and application infrastructure, and application development tools. Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of a cross-functional team to define processes for effective execution of comprehensive applications development, management of content on a global scale, and enable continuous process improvement to support changing business needs.
  • Analyze application requirements, make recommendations, and develop enhancements based of usability principles and best practices.
  • Use knowledge of current technology and design standards to identify areas of opportunity and improvement of current and new systems.
  • Work in collaboration with team and Business Groups to determine system requirements, reporting and information needs.
  • Document system functionality, APIs, scripts, processes, and training materials.
  • Assist with training and education to appropriate personnel or super users to support their applications or modules.
  • Develop and provide technical expertise to support successful maintenance and implementation of business systems.
  • Develop and provide technical expertise to resolve technical issues as a member of the Enterprise Applications team.

Credentials and Education:

  • Must be a current student actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related degree area

Compensation: Base pay for this role is between $18 and $20 hourly. Base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location
