Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This role is in the non-profit industry and will involve a variety of tasks related to accounting functions. The successful candidate will be based in the office and will play a crucial role in managing the financial records.

Responsibilities

• Handle the processing of customer credit applications with efficiency and accuracy.

• Keep customer credit records up to date and ensure their accuracy.

• Resolve inquiries related to customer credit in a timely manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments.

• Identify and correct any miscoding or wrong accounts in our accounting system.

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) duties.

• Utilize accounting software systems, such as Great Plains (GPAC) and Abila MIP, to manage financial tasks.

• Use Microsoft Excel to track, record, and organize accounting data.

• Perform billing functions and check processing activities.

• Support the transition process for a retiring team member by taking over their responsibilities.

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding and ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Experience in Check Processing

• Proficiency in using Abila MIP software
