We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Rockville, MD. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair operations of our properties. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and in optimal condition at all times.

Responsibilities:

  1. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building systems, equipment, and components, and minimize downtime.

  2. Repairs and Troubleshooting: Perform skilled repair and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs.

  3. Inspections: Regularly inspect the properties to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.

  4. Work Orders: Prioritize and respond to maintenance work orders promptly, ensuring timely completion and resolution of issues.

  5. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with company standards.

  6. Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.

  7. Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety training and implementing best practices.

  8. Reporting: Generate maintenance reports and documentation, providing updates on completed tasks, ongoing projects, and budgetary requirements.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training preferred.

  2. Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, at least 3 years.

  3. HVAC Certification and EPA Universal Certification REQUIRED.

  4. Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction.

  5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

  7. Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management software.

  8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  9. Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
