Job Details Responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures that contracts are aligned with procurement objectives and organizational requirements, with a focus on maximizing cost efficiencies, supplier performance, and risk mitigation. The VP Contract Management will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, InfoSec, and other departments to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of contract management through technology integration. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Contract Drafting, Review, and Negotiation: Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts with suppliers to ensure alignment with procurement objectives, CH requirements, and legal standards. Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Finance, InfoSec, etc.) to resolve key issues and finalize agreements. Provide expertise and guidance to senior leadership regarding contract negotiations/supplier disputes. Create and maintain standard contract templates, in partnership with Legal, ensuring they are updated regularly to reflect changing business needs and regulatory requirements. Lifecycle Management: Monitor contracts throughout their lifecycle to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and performance objectives. Ensure contracts are executed on time and address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the contract period. Track key contract milestones, renewal dates, and deliverables to ensure timely and effective management. Define performance improvement opportunities. Technology Integration and Process Optimization: Leverage contract management software, contract repositories, and other technological tools to streamline contract creation, approval, and management processes. Partner with internal stakeholders to automate tasks, reduce administrative workload, and increase transparency throughout the contracting process. Facilitate greater collaboration and communication between legal, procurement, and other departments to ensure consistency in contract management practices. Data Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to monitor contract performance, track supplier performance, and identify areas for improvement. Analyze contract expiration forecasts to proactively plan for renewals or renegotiations. Prepare negotiation strategies and supplier playbooks using data insights to drive better outcomes and enhance supplier performance. Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks related to contracts, including financial, operational, and legal risks. Ensure that all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Continuously improve risk management strategies by leveraging lessons learned and data from prior contracts. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Serve as a liaison between procurement, Legal, InfoSec, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth contract negotiations and execution. Work with internal teams to understand client needs and ensure contracts reflect these requirements. Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term performance and reliability. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Law degree preferred. Proven experience (10+ years) in contract management, procurement, or a similar role. Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and risk management. Experience with contract management software and digital contract repositories. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable contract terms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and with external suppliers. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and improve processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Salary Range USD $225,000.00 - USD $275,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
