Position Summary:
The Inbound/Outbound Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the movement of goods into and out of our stores and DCs, ensuring efficient logistics, inventory control, and timely deliveries. This role requires strong coordination with vendors, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to optimize supply chain efficiency and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This role will support other areas of the transportation team - TBD.
Primary Responsibilities:
Freight Operations
Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely deliveries to stores and customers.
Maintain relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight carriers, and suppliers.
Monitor and optimize logistics costs while maintaining service quality.
Ensure compliance with regulations, shipping guidelines, and industry standards.
Store Shipment Support
Collaborate with retail and e-commerce teams to support omnichannel fulfillment.
Optimize last-mile delivery solutions for online and in-store pickup orders.
Small Parcel Analysis
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
Maintain and analyze shipping data to identify trends, cost savings opportunities, and performance improvements.
Inbound freight operations
Schedule, track, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effective transportation.
Work closely with carriers, freight brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to resolve issues, and ensure service compliance.
Troubleshoot shipping and delivery issues, address delays, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Ensure adherence to transportation regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Inbound Vendor/Shipment Audits
Develop and enforce vendor compliance guidelines related to packaging, labeling, routing, and documentation.
Conduct audits and evaluations to ensure vendors meet compliance requirements.
Future state -TMS integration/planning
Oversee and maintain the transportation management system (TMS) to ensure efficient load planning, carrier selection, and shipment execution.
Vendor/Carrier relations related to compliance
Reporting development and audits
Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Use data analytics and KPIs (e.g., on-time deliveries, order accuracy, fulfillment rates) to monitor performance.
Education, Experience & Skills:

Minimum education required/preferred, area of study: • Bachelor’s degree or related experience
Minimum years of relevant experience required: • 5 years in a retail supply chain network environment
Additional skills/knowledge required include: • Background in DC and Freight operations required

• Strong analytical and administrative skills
• Relevant software and technology experience
