Description

Our client, a successful and growing law firm, has an opening for a Corporate Paralegal based in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will be handling a variety of tasks related to corporate law, working directly with various stakeholders both within and outside the organization.

Location: Rochester, NY

Schedule: In person. Maybe some flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in direct conversations with diverse stakeholders within and outside the firm.

• Work on assignments independently, even in situations with minimal guidance.

• Handle the incorporation or formation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.

• Follow up proactively on assignments to ensure timely completion.

• Utilize excellent organizational skills to maintain order and efficiency in your work.

• Display attention to detail in all tasks, aiming for flawless work products.

• Make appropriate decisions in line with the best interests of the firm.

• Utilize your Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) and corporate law skills to handle relevant tasks.

• Work collaboratively with team members, demonstrating a strong work ethic.

• Own your projects, demonstrating initiative and responsibility.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years of direct corporate paralegal experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm/professional services environment.

  • Knowledge in incorporation and/or formation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.

  • Willing and able to engage in direct conversations with a multitude of different stakeholders, both within and outside of the firm.

  • Ideal candidate is an individual who proactively follows up on assignments in situations where there is little or no guidance and strives to submit a flawless work product.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and appropriate decision-making skills.

  • M& A experience is ideal.

  • Self-starters as well as team players with a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and who take ownership of their projects.
