Job Description:

Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental, Health, and Safety Director for their Rochester, NY location. In this position, you will enhance the organization’s health and safety program through creative techniques that integrate health and safety practices into our operations to create a culture that protects each employee’s well-being. This individual will also lead safety champions located at each partner company.

This position would be ideal for an out-going, organized, hands-on multi-tasker, and subject-matter expert looking to lead teams in a growing organization.

Isaac is one of the nation's largest privately held HVAC/R contractors and services over 35,000 clients a year. Responsibilities:

  • Leads the team of safety champions throughout the organization to ensure environmental, health and safety practices are in place to be compliant with federal, state, local, and industry regulations and codes.

  • Proactively performs environmental, health and safety assessments to identify areas of potential concern and creates plans for immediate mitigation.

  • Creates a plan to reduce safety incidents and presents to leadership for approval and implementation.

  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.

  • Designs and/or performs monthly safety training sessions.

  • Responsible for being the first point of contact for injuries, incidents, and vehicle accidents to triage and immediately take action to address.

  • Works with the HR Coordinator to ensure all required documentation is on file or submitted to the appropriate organizations to ensure compliance.

  • Performs and documents accident investigations to provide solutions to field leadership to ensure similar situations will not happen again.

  • Be available and approachable to all employees as much as possible to build trust.

    Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EH&S is preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive safety experience required

    · Flexibility with travel as it relates to visiting newly acquired companies is required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee relationship-building

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

    The starting base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
