Paychex Business Development Account Executive - Alterna in Rochester, New York

Overview

This role is critical to driving Alterna sales growth within the Paychex Sales ecosystem. Responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to identify and capitalize on high-value funding opportunities. Building strong relationships across the organization will be key to unearthing these opportunities and ensuring successful deal execution.

Responsibilities

  • Meets sales goals in numbers and dollar volume. This requires identifying potential services for client, follow up for potential and timing, participation in structuring funding and service package, negotiating and closing on appropriate sales

  • Develops and executes a structured prospecting and referral process that targets and nurtures high value opportunities within the existing Paychex customer base

  • Acts as primary contact to deliver complex product presentations to internal partners & prospects to increase awareness and to grow and retain partnerships

  • Provides timely and accurate reporting of sales statistics, growth, ancillary product opportunities, and service related issues to executives while making adjustments needed to increase effectiveness.

  • Manages complex contract negotiation and works with underwriting and legal counsel, as necessary, to minimize the contract phase.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

  • 3 years of experience in 3-5 years experience in Solution selling.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay for this position is $66,000 annually + commission. Please keep in mind that this is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
