$51,899.00 - $67,469.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Provides athletic training services to local high schools and collegiate institutions through prevention, conditioning, re-conditioning and rehabilitation for athletic injuries in the clinic setting under the direction of a physician in collaboration with other medical and allied health professionals.

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including high schools, colleges, outpatient clinics, and hospital environments. Responsibilities include:

  • Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation – Assess injuries, provide immediate care, and develop individualized recovery plans in coordination with physicians and allied health professionals.

  • Athlete & Coach Education – Guide athletes, parents, and coaches on conditioning techniques, injury prevention strategies, and safe return-to-play protocols.

  • Clinical Support – Manage independent patient care for both nonoperative and postoperative patients in our outpatient rehabilitation clinics. Work alongside physicians, assist with clinical workflows, and gain experience in our orthopedic ambulatory surgery center.

  • Hospital-Based Rehabilitation Assistance – Support clinical teams in patient mobility, post-injury recovery, and functional movement training.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training ( current students graduating soon are encouraged to apply ).

  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) (or eligible to sit for the exam)

  • New York State licensure as an Athletic Trainer (or ability to obtain).

  • CPR certification and ability to respond to medical emergencies.

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic clinical care and athletic training outreach is preferred, but this is an excellent opportunity for new graduates looking to gain hands-on experience and grow in the field .
