Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Rochester, New York. This role involves handling and maintaining accurate customer credit records, processing credit applications, and taking appropriate actions to collect overdue payments.

Responsibilities:

• Processing daily mail related to customer credit applications

• Preparing and processing bank deposits

• Reviewing bank accounts for electronic receipts and disbursements

• Recording all receipts from bank deposits and electronic receipts

• Preparing accounts receivable invoices and following up on unpaid accounts

• Reviewing accounts receivable balances periodically

• Representing the finance department at special events as necessary

• Assisting with the preparation of supporting schedules for annual audits

• Performing additional finance tasks as requested

• Utilizing software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for account reconciliation, billing, cash applications, and commercial collections.

Skills required include account reconciliation, accounts receivable (AR), billing, cash applications, cash collections, commercial collections, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks. Requirements • Must have experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Must be skilled in Billing procedures and practices

• Must have experience with Cash Applications

• Previous experience in Cash Collections is necessary

• Familiarity with Commercial Collections is required

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks are necessary
