Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Rochester, New York

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to be part of our team in the Rental/Leasing Services industry, based in Rochester, New York. This role primarily involves handling accounts payable duties, such as processing invoices, addressing inquiries related to accounts payable, and making entries within the general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices by matching, batching, and coding them accurately and efficiently

• Handle questions related to accounts payable, providing clear and prompt responses

• Make entries within the general ledger, ensuring they are accurate and up to date

• Use software tools like Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, or Great Plains for various tasks

• Maintain at least 1+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Carry out any other duties related to accounts payable as assigned. Requirements • Must have previous experience in the Rental/Leasing Services industry

• Proven track record in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar

• Strong understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Must have a good understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
