Olmsted Medical Center Rehabilitation Technician in Rochester, Minnesota

Description 0.6 FTE - Day Shift - 7 AM - 5:30 PM - Float - Northwest and Elton Hills At Olmsted Medical Center, we value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Basic Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Employer Paid Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Adoption Assistance Plan Qualifications: Prior computer experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Vital sign measurement (training available) CNA experience preferred BLS certification within 90 days of hire Strong verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills required Job Responsibilities: Greets visitors to the department in a professional and friendly manner. Answers patient questions and provides directional needs. Works closely with therapy staff. Attends to patient treatment needs under the direction of an occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech language pathologist, and/or physical therapist assistant. Attends education and training seminars. Orders and stocks department supplies. Orders specialty patient equipment needs as directed by therapist. Completes basic rooming standards per departmental guidelines as/if needed such as obtaining blood pressure, weight, height, and/or temperature. Departmental cleaning duties (including patients' rooms) according to infection control practice requirements. Prints daily provider schedules. Rochester Northwest Clinic location: Serves as Information Desk for the lower level check in, directing patients as needed, including Radiology and Sports Medicine/Athletic Performance (SMAP). Other duties as assigned.
