Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to primarily work on Bell rotorcraft and MD rotorcraft at our FAA Part 145 repair station and Bell customer service facility. You will be responsible for conducting minor airframe inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing scheduled maintenance and inspections. Your work will focus on Bell 206 series up to the 412 series airframes, with an emphasis on the 412.
Responsibilities
Conduct minor airframe inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Remove and install major components, including structural repairs and component overhauls.
Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Track and balance aircraft components for optimal performance.
Remove and replace components as necessary to support aircraft operations.
Overhaul avionics components to ensure functionality and safety.
Travel to client sites for minimal day trips as required.
Essential Skills
A&P license required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working on rotary aircraft.
Experience with Bell helicopters, specifically up to the 412 model.
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience with EC 145, UH-72 Lakota, Airbus H145, or DC145.

Work Environment
Work within a team that includes a DOM, Accountable Manager, shop supervisor, lead mechanic, and 6 mechanics. Our facility includes an overhaul shop and maintenance shop with about 15 mechanics in total. Operating in the southeastern US, our work hours are Monday-Friday from 8-5 PM, with the possibility of fieldwork and emergency duty roster sharing. Minimal travel required, mostly day trips to customer sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
