Citizens Deposit Operations Sr Specialist in Riverside, Rhode Island

Description

The Deposit Ops Sr Specialist for the Tax Operations team will be responsible for activities such as maintaining customer W8 & W9 IRS forms, responding to internal bank requests via various methods regarding customer W8 & W9 forms as well as request corrected IRS tax forms. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Add or maintain customer information to system of record to support certified Social Security/Tax Identification information provided

  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly W8 & W9 reports from internal systems and applications (CMOD/Blue Prism) and validate customer information is accurate and correct, if required.

  • Perform various quality control functions to validate data is captured and reported accurately. Multi-task, prioritize, and cross train in a high volume, fast paced deadline-oriented environment.

  • May need to work independently on special projects, interacting with all levels of management, and serving as a resource for the business unit. Recommend enhancements to procedures and process improvement opportunities.

  • Provide support to Tax Operations business analysts for execution of annual Tax Year End project. Other tasks may be assigned to the. Operations Specialist related to servicing accounts.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in an operations environment

  • Team player; able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Solid time management skills

  • Pays close attention to detail

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task and function efficiently in high volume, fast paced deadline-oriented environment

  • Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications

  • Solid knowledge of department computer applications and systems

  • Customer service phone skills required

  • Experience with financial services industry and banking operations preferred.

Education:

Associate degree preferred but not required

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: 8:00 - 4:30, Monday - Friday

Position is Hybrid located in Riverside, RI 3 days per week on site after training period
