BUNZL Inside Sales Representative - BPD in Riverside, Missouri

The Inside Sales Representative position is geared toward an individual that is highly motivated to cultivate new business opportunities for Bunzl Processor Distribution.

This position can be predominantly remote after an initial training period, BUT MUST LIVE IN THE KANSAS CITY METRO AREA.

Responsibilities:

  • Outbound telephone sales to increase sales through existing accounts, while also prospecting and building business with new accounts

  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts

  • Conduct online customer and market research to optimize lead generation

  • Work with manufacturers' representatives to sell promoted items

  • Attend sales meetings and meet with sales manager on a regular basis

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a plus

  • Seeking a candidate with 3+ experience in customer sales, particularly in handling inbound and outbound calls, building rapport over the phone, and effectively closing deals.Must be a go getter; able to work independently with minimal supervision and very strong at gaining interested clients by phone

  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and outside parties

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel required

  • Experience with customer relationship management system highly desired

  • Ideal candidate will be very trainable and show ability to learn, master and present company value proposition

  • Occasional travel may be required to visit customers and/or attend trade shows

Training Requirements:

  • Training will take place in the Koch Customer Service Department working with Customer service team and will consist of product, applications, and overall business understanding.

  • Training will take place at BPD Riverside MO and will vary based on Reps ability to learn and be comfortable with Koch processes and products. Time required in the Riverside office is typically 4-6 weeks after which training will continue as needed virtually and as required by management in Riverside.
