Salary Range $96,000-$172,000 / yearly plus 25% Bonus SUMMARY The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire manufacturing facility to include safety, quality, efficiencies, and meeting customer expectations. This includes driving strategic plans that ensure that production goals are met in the most safe and cost-effective manner, while delivering expected financial results. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving. * Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental supervisors/managers to ensure that all manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. * Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics. * Develop, monitor and controls plant budget, through active planning and understanding of P&L to ensure financial targets are met. * Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries. * Leads the effort and drives Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques fostering continuous improvement within the facility. Acts in a proactive fashion regarding problem resolution. * Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary. Investigates and recommend new equipment or process improvements. * Actively participate with Regional Sales Management to develop and manage the Regional Operating Unit into a team-oriented environment. * Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards. * Controls and minimizes labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses. * Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. * Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel. * Schedules and conducts plant communication which focus on key operative measurements, safety topics and . * Onsite contact for government agencies, landlords and various other vendors SAFETY * Strives to improve the plant’s safety accident record year over year in creating a positive safety culture for all employees. Conducts safety walks of the facility on a weekly basis. * Monitors the activities of all employees and provides feedback and discipline to promote a safe workplace. * Oversees the development and organization of all safety related documentation. * Ensures and develops all required safety related training and promotes the programs to lead safe behaviors. * Audits equipment and the shop floor for safety related improvements. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise plant staff and ensure employee safety. * Mentor staff to create a productive and positive work environment. * Establish strong relationships that foster engaging collaborative influence. QUALIFICATIONS * Mechanically Inclined. * Problem Solver. * Team Oriented. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment, strongly preferred. * Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements. * Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required. * Basic computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel * The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS * Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals. * Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper accurately. WORK ENVIRONMENT * Manufacturing facility-exposed to heat and cold. * Personal Protective Equipment always required. * Controlled Noise exposure * Activity level is high-continuous movement.
