Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Office Assistant - NYU Langone Medical Associates Riverhead. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to staff including front desk schedulers admins and clinical staff assisting management with maintaining effective operations at the practice The incumbent acts as the go to person for administrative and clinical staff for Epic related issues

Job Responsibilities:

    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians nurses office and clinical staff Acts as the go to person for patient intake pre cert referrals prescription refill operations and staff stepping in at times to assist
    • Recognizes routine problems and recommends suggestions ideas and solutions Troubleshoot routine problems raises irresolvable issues to a higher level Determines and establishes the explanation to routine calls issues and questions and defers questions not covered by specific instructions or common practice to management Maintain MD scheduling templates in Epic
    • Assists in training office personnel for front desk activities
    • Receives compiles classifies consolidates and reports on data from varied sources as directed by management Assist with office and safety related projects and ensure they are progressing efficiently and will be completed by the deadline
    • Assist with the enforcement of all office policies and procedures Specifically track issues related to attendance lateness and behavioral patterns that require a verbal or written warning and escalates to management as needed May contribute to employee performance reviews
    • Perform all functions of Office Assistant and Medical Secretary as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or equivalent 1 2 years Office administration experience in a medical office or aHealth care facility Excellent communication both oral and written interpersonal and organization skills Writing skills to compose and edit logical detailed comprehensive and grammatically correct correspondence Excellent computer skills Knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory SuperUser Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to handle matters of highly confidential and sensitive nature Ability to recognize and identify problems implications and propose alternative solutions

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate s Degree 3 5 years Office administration experience in a medical office or a Healthcare facility

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,561.20 - $62,561.20 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
