City Of Rifle Theater & Event Technician II in Rifle, Colorado
Job Summary:
Theater and Event Technician II is responsible for providing technical support for theatrical rehearsals, production and events as well as regular building maintenance at the Ute Theater and Events Center. Position operates as a Crew and Shift Lead if other personnel are working, and is responsible for scheduling necessary staff to complete production set-up needs within budget. Other responsibilities include ensuring proper use and upkeep of stages, carpentry equipment, and the installation and removal of necessary equipment. Other duties include assisting with audio/visual and stage lighting systems as needed and assisting in the maintenance and theatrical machinery and the Ute. This is an in-person position that is not eligible for regular remote work.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Requirements: Valid Colorado Driver's License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Ability to pass background check and MVR with results that are acceptable to the City of Rifle. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Work Experience in Positions Similar or Related to This Job: At least 3 years of related experience, or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
This position is part-time (35 hours per week) with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance. According to policy, retirement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay are 75% of full-time benefits. The wage range for this position is $20.66 - $24.28, depending on experience and qualifications.
