Eaton Corporation Multi-Tenant Data Center (MTDC) Major Account Manager in Richmond, Virginia

Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Multi-Tenant Data Center (MTDC) Major Account Manager. This is a remote position where candidates can reside anywhere within the United States.

Position Overview:

As the Multi-Tenant Data Center Major Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be relationship management for assigned accounts. The account responsibility includes a select number of clients with an annual order volume of $15 - $20 million. As the primary customer interface, you will lead a national sales, service and support team effort in driving accelerated, profitable growth aligned with the action based national account sales plan for each assigned account. You will be responsible for developing a keen understanding of the assigned account(s) business needs and drivers, decision-making process and buying behavior and for leading the development and delivery of specifically tailored value propositions, accurate, recommended solution proposals and complete, customer life-cycle services.

In this function you will:

  • Call on key decision makers at the assigned accounts

  • Manage account relationships involving account resources at appropriate decision-making levels

  • Ensure Eaton is in the best position to win profitable business and meet assigned revenue quota

  • Develop and execute sales plan for the assigned accounts

  • Build relationships with purchasing, construction and operations at individual data center sites in the assigned geography

  • Work with Eaton service orgs for opportunities for recurring revenue

  • Utilize Salesforce to develop and update an opportunity pipeline for assigned accounts

  • Actively participate in weekly pipeline review meetings to ensure acceptable pipeline growth and follow up

  • Lead the commercial effort for terms and conditions reviews and internal approvals

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eight plus (8) + years of direct sales/account management experience

  • Two plus (2) + years of experience in strategic marketing

  • Technical and commercial understanding of low voltage switchboards, medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage transformers, large UPS, PDU & STS

  • Exposure working in target data center segment or with target client(s)

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $138,750 - $203,500.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
