Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the local government industry, located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. The role is for a Customer Service Representative, with key responsibilities centered around answering inbound calls, providing customer service, and performing data entry tasks in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls promptly and professionally, addressing customer inquiries and concerns

• Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring that all customer needs are met and issues are resolved efficiently

• Operate within a call center environment, working collaboratively with a team to manage customer calls and inquiries

• Perform data entry tasks, ensuring that all customer information is accurately recorded and updated

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Word and Excel to manage customer information and perform necessary tasks

• Conduct email correspondence with customers as necessary, providing clear and concise information

• Manage both inbound and outbound calls, ensuring effective communication with customers at all times

• Execute order entry tasks, accurately processing customer orders in a timely manner

• Schedule appointments as necessary, coordinating with customers to ensure their needs are met

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and organization in all tasks and interactions. Requirements • Proven experience in a Customer Service Representative role within Local Government or a similar setting

• Proficiency in answering inbound calls and handling both inbound and outbound calls

• Experience in a call center customer service environment is essential

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle email correspondence professionally and promptly

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience with order entry systems and processes

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively and manage a busy calendar

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy

• High level of responsibility, accountability, and professionalism

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
