Job Duties/Scope Of Work JOB SUMMARY: In support of the Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) Field Support Services Director, this Manager position is responsible for the IM Work Management organization, which includes all systems, services and reporting that this technical staff supports. The position will manage and coordinate bargaining unit and technical resources on a daily basis; coordinating managing, prioritizing, and dispatching Information Technology project related work scope, mitigating customer impacts, and ensuring 100% compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Essential job duties of this position include but are not limited to: - Apply an extensive and diversified knowledge of Information Management Project Management principles and practices while completing assignments. - Oversee the development of policies and procedures governing how to troubleshoot IT issues, including identification, documentation, distribution, escalation and resolution and follow-up. - Drafting announcements and customer communications, updating and apprising contractor CIO offices and other executive management. - Demonstrate a commitment to the HMIS vision and its core values. - Set challenging goals for personal and group accomplishments with high standards of performance. - May assess new products or services and suggest enhancements. - Monitors the performance of work to ensure it is done in accordance with cost, schedules, and contractual and client requirements. - Adheres to the highest standards of ethical business conduct. - Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, exercising sound judgment and discretion, as well as working well and efficiently under pressure on short turnaround assignments. - The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with the Field Support Services Director, as well as independently, while supporting staff to determine priorities and ensure commitments are completed in a timely manner. Basic Qualifications - BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Must have prior experience in management/leadership - OR - a prior leadership role or capacity (lead, project management, supervisor, etc). - Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop personnel. - Demonstrated understanding of Information Technology infrastructure and systems, including: Land Mobile Radio, Outside Plant (OSP)/Inside Plant infrastructure, Underground Utility Locating, and Facilities Management. - Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification. - Requires excellent technical, personnel management, and communication skills. - Must be able to interact, present information and respond to all levels of management, peers, staff, and/or public or employee groups. - Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. - Must be able to support a staff of technical subject matter experts during non-standard business hours, during shift work hours of supporting networking monitoring team and be on call as needed or as scheduled. - Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Desired Qualifications - 10 years of experience in Information Management project oversight, including a minimum of 5 years management or leadership related experience. - IT work experience in a Project Management or similar role, as a lead or manager. Experience in project management tools, process, and techniques. Subcontract oversight experience is a plus. - Familiarity with service request tools, incident management tools, ACD systems, Remedy ticketing system, ESP Suite, and Office 365.
