Part Time Early Intervention Specialist/Educator

Under the direction of the Early Intervention Supervisor, the Early Intervention Specialist/Educator is responsible for designing and delivering effective group and individual services aimed at training parents in techniques that foster their child's overall development. As an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Early Intervention Specialist/Educator contributes to the provision of individual and group services for children.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-

  • Instruct and lead engaging group services to enhance child development.

  • Conduct home visits with families to provide personalized support for child development.

  • Plan and implement instructional and developmental activities tailored to each child's Individualized Family Service Plan.

  • Prepare materials for parent and child instruction to facilitate optimal child development.

  • Assist in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans.

  • Utilize assessment tools to conduct developmental evaluations for program eligibility determination.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments of infants and toddlers enrolled in the Early Intervention program to evaluate progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required.

  • Baby Watch Early Intervention Specialist credentialing within 6 months of hire.

  • Preferred experience with children with developmental disabilities.

  • Participation in staff meetings, training, and personnel development workshops.

  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

  • Demonstrated professionalism in all aspects of the job.

  • Ensure confidentiality of all client information.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful completion of a criminal history background investigation.

  • Possession of a valid Utah Driver License; out-of-state personnel must obtain a valid Utah Driver License within sixty days of hire date.
