Amentum Database Developer (SQL Server) in Revere, Massachusetts

The Homeland Group provides a range of homeland security and law enforcement program management services and program support services to Federal, state, and local agencies. The Homeland Group is looking for an experienced database analyst with experience supporting Law Enforcement and criminal intelligence missions to join an existing contract supporting the Boston Regional Intelligence Center.

Work entails implementing full life cycle development for new and existing software systems, provide architecture and implantation and design for projects for the customer’s SQL server environments. Supporting multiple technology initiatives that drive the data analysis responsibilities of the customer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating custom reporting and exports for the customer using SSRS.

  • Communicating, coordinating, and collaborating with internal colleagues and external professional partners, verbally and in written form.

  • Engaging in new development along with maintaining existing reporting systems.

  • Complying with all appropriate federal, state, and local legal, policy, and regulatory requirements as they pertain to criminal intelligence, law enforcement data access and data sharing, and applying sound professional judgment to ensure the protection of privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.

Required:

  • Strong understanding of privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties issues as they pertain to the intelligence cycle within local law enforcement and an intelligence fusion center environment.

  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Ability to learn new techniques, procedures, and applications.

  • Ability to maintain focus under pressure.

  • Experience within in a local, state, or federal law enforcement agency and/or state/major urban area fusion center.

  • Strong writing and briefing skills.

  • Have extensive experience developing SQL Server data reports, analysis cubes, and business intelligence dashboards; as well as efficient project and task management skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Have a minimum of five years of full-time experience focused on the Microsoft SQL Server BI Suite, to include SSRS, SSAS and SSIS; strongly preferred that their most recent SQL experience was within the past five years.

Minimum Education: High School/GED

Minimum General Experience: Minimum/General Experience: Fifteen (15) years’ experience with a High School Diploma, Ten (10) years’ experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or Five (5) years with a Master’s Degree.

**Candidates are required to pass a background check, to include a drug test, with the Boston Police Department as a condition of employment and must be able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance at the Top Secret level.

As a major urban area fusion center, the mission of the BRIC is to collect, evaluate, analyze, and disseminate information and intelligence data regarding criminal and terrorist activity in the Metro Boston Region while protecting privacy, civil rights, civil liberties, and other protected interests.
