Description

We are offering a role in the financial industry, located in Reston, Virginia, for a Financial Analyst. As part of our team, your main function will be conducting quantitative analyses affecting our budgets, expenses, and other financial projects. This job provides a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze financial data including labor hours, costs, travel, and other direct expenses for assigned projects.

• Monitor the organization's progress against financial goals and report on current or expected financial performance.

• Create and refine financial models to guide decision-making processes.

• Analyze labor hours and expenditures to recommend actions and/or modifications to timesheets and forecasts.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for the business line.

• Handle basic issues and problems in financial analysis, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.

  Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Proven ability to collect and analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency with financial software and Excel.
