Where the chemistry happens…

As a Senior Specialist Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Quality Assurance (QA) Auditor you will ensure compliance with the GLP quality standards for regulatory studies, as failure of BASF to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) GLP regulatory requirements can result in delays or cancelled product registration.

This role is located in Research Triangle Park, NC and features a hybrid working arrangement, with a combination of working from home and onsite each week, depending on workload and other factors.

As a Sr Specialist GLP Quality Assurance Auditor, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Assuring that studies, personnel, and testing facilities (both at BASF and contract research organizations (CRO)) are in compliance with the EPA Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) GLP requirements by independently planning, conducting and reporting study and testing facility-based inspections (including CRO inspections). Proactively acting to identify and resolve significant compliance challenges. Considers implications of their proposed solutions. Supporting regulatory inspections/audits.

  • Successfully transferring expertise, assisting in training activities, and being sought after for expertise and coaching within and across the function(s).

  • Demonstrating capability to handle increasing levels of complexity and ambiguity. Identifying opportunities, establishing plans, organizing, and committing to deliverables to drive the long-term success of a discipline, regulatory/scientific field, product, process, system, or technology.

  • Independently proposing and implementing solutions, determining whether to utilize internal or external resources, and taking ownership for increasingly complex problems and being accountable for resolution.

If you have...

  • A Master’s degree in Science-related discipline or equivalent through experience.

  • At least 8 years of experience in a regulated environment (EPA FIFRA, preferred), with at least 5 years as a GLP QA Auditor and knowledge of other quality management systems.

  • Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the EPA FIFRA and/or Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) GLP regulations.

  • Experience in leadership in development and implementation of new quality requirements.

  • Experience in providing regional support and communicating across cultural differences.

  • Knowledge of field and laboratory procedures, as well as being part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated capability of designing and implementing novel quality approaches.

  • Project management skills.

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office) and know-how of relevant databases and software.

  • Ability to travel 10% (US and Canada)
