Job Summary and Qualifications

The Production Assembler II guides a team of production colleagues to assemble components, balance production lines, and prepare sub-assemblies for inclusion into custom procedure trays in various configurations for CPS production area. Follows instruction from production leads, supervisors or other designated individuals to assist leadership in work areas. Uses standard operating procedures to enable the operation to run smoothly without any bottlenecks. Uses approved Bills of Material to assemble trays to designs standards. Follows all approved assembly guidelines as established by the training manual. Ensures raw materials used during production are in compliance of established material standards, applies proper handling practices to minimize amount of scrap loss. This position involves direct interaction with colleagues, supervisors, managers and department directors.

What you will do in this role

  • Develops colleague relationships to ensure production teams operate to expected standards and SOP’sfor safety, quality, design, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborates with production colleagues, production leads, supervisor, and other leadership to ensure that safety and quality standards are achieved and maintained.

  • Communicates effectively to raise safety concerns, quality concerns, maximize CPS manufacturing production efficiency and escalates problems that cannot be resolved to team lead.

  • Work with supervisors, team leaders, material planners and operations colleagues to ensure products are shipped within established production schedules ensuring optimum inventory levels.

  • Proactively works with production leads to organize work force to meet daily scheduled demand for CPS production area through the use of labor management, standard product families, and technology resources.

  • Works with production assemblers and QC Technicians to help identify product defects and opportunities for improvement, through first article development, line balancing, and inline quality measures.

What experience and education is needed for this role:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required

  • Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
