Service Linen Supply Route Relief / Route Manager in Renton, Washington

Service Linen Supply, an industry leader in linen supply and rental for 75 years and recent Pacific Northwest Winner for eco-friendly Green Initiatives, is seeking a motivated and independent Route Relief Driver to join our Renton operations! In this client-facing role, you will learn to and proceed to execute all functions regarding the delivery and pickup of products to and from our clients. You will follow a daily route in which you will visit between 10 and 30 customers per day. Throughout your deliveries, you will work to promote Service Linen Supply's core values, products, and services. As a valued Route Relief Driver, you will serve on the front line of customer relations -- striving to retain and to increase our existing Business-to-Business relationships.

Job Responsibilities

As a Route Manager, you will ensure that all customer invoicing and inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, prior to each delivery day, you will review customer paperwork for special needs -- identifying upsell opportunities and how to best position our products or services to meet client's needs.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Loading and Unloading product
  • Consistently building rapport and adding value through your delivery and customer retention
  • Monitoring and seeking feedback from customers on perceived levels of service
  • Coordinating with Service Managers and Key Account Managers about creating solutions for current customer needs and product gaps

Job Requirements

As a Route Relief Driver / Route Manager for Service Linen Supply, you must maintain a clean and professional appearance. You must always practice appropriate lifting, carrying techniques, and take every safety measure while driving and servicing accounts.  Other requirements include:

  • High school diploma or GED / Advanced education preferred
  • 1-3 years of proven customer service experience or route management experience
  • Excellent driving record
  • Having strong verbal, written, and mathematical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work 8-10 hours per day (start between 4:00 to 6:00AM and end between 1:00 to 5:00PM)
  • Ability to pass Physical Abilities Test, Pre-Employment Drug Test, and Background Check
