Extrusion Helper

Pay: $22-24/Hour

Shift: 4am-4:30pm

Location: Renton, WA

Job Description

Candidates considered for the extrusion helper role will be responsible for working on a three-man team (operator, watcher, and bagger) that keeps an extrusion machine running and producing bubble wrap for packaging. They need to be prepared to perform multiple duties while in this role. They will use computers to program the machine to run each product line, complete paperwork necessary for quality control, load machines with chemicals and raw materials, and assist with other team members (bagging, cleaning, cutting, reloading, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Work on a three-man team to keep the extrusion machine running

• Use computers to program the machine for each product line

• Complete necessary paperwork for quality control

• Load machines with chemicals and raw materials

• Assist team members with tasks such as bagging, cleaning, cutting, and reloading

• Be open and willing to be cross-trained and work in other parts of the warehouse

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude (2-3 years)

• Strong sense of purpose and drive to learn and master the job

• Team player mentality

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with extrusion, plastic molding, or blow molding

• Ability to troubleshoot and use hand and power tools

• Experience with machine maintenance and repair

Work Environment

The work environment is a large warehouse with multiple lines for running product. There are stacks of bubble wrap varying in size and weight located throughout, and a slight chemical smell due to the extrusion process. The warehouse is not temperature controlled, but it has good insulation to mitigate extreme temperatures. The work hours are from 4am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday) or (Tuesday-Friday), with flexibility. Employees for swing/overnight shifts will train during the day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
