Requisition Summary
This position will provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various departments within the PACCAR Parts headquarters and personnel throughout the organization. The Accounts Payable Manager will manage the day-to-day accounting functions of the Accounts Payable Department and is responsible for supervising, mentoring, and developing a team of 16 (6 direct and 10 indirect). This position will report to the Director of General Accounting.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Responsible for retaining, mentoring, and developing the AP team of 16 (6 direct / 10 indirect reports).
Responsible for development, and implementation of system initiatives including robotic process automations to reduce cycle time and improve department effectiveness and productivity.
Oversee the processing of vendor invoices including accurate and timely matching, expense reports including research, providing guidance on coding, monthly accruals and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Coordinates and resolves differences or errors internally by working cross functional with materials, pricing, and purchasing and externally with vendors and dealers. Resolve vendor questions in a timely manner.
Review weekly check runs and ACH payments.
Supervise various month-end financial close processes by coordinating workflow, preparing/reviewing various journal entries, pre-close account reconciliations, resolve aged balances and prepare queries and reports from various accounting systems.
Responsible for timely, accurate and meaningful financial reports for internal management reporting. Reporting covers weekly AP KPIs dashboards and monthly senior executive internal management reports.
Manage cross-charges to other PACCAR entities and review intercompany balances at month-end.
Responsible for the accounting of the PACCAR Foundation and the Paul Pigott Scholarship Fund.
Supervise AP staff to ensure accurate and timely matching, proper support, coding, posting and payment of vendor invoices and dealer direct-ship orders.
Supervise various year-end projects such as 1099s issuance, sensitive payment audits, and transactions with management reports.
Perform other special projects or tasks as assigned, including assisting with ad hoc management reporting, assisting with internal/external audit requests, and assisting with internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley testing or reviews.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Strong analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs), Access (i.e. query building, report writing, etc.) and data analytic tools (i.e. tableau, etc.).
Problem solver with ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
Positive attitude and “can-do” approach to issue resolution.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of relevant accounting or work experience including at least 2 years of supervisory experience
Attention to detail with the ability to understand the “big picture”
Desired Education/Experience:
Masters degree or CPA strongly preferred
SAP experience preferred
Public Accounting or audit experience

Salary Range:
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $ 96,700 - $136,290 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
