Talbert Manufacturing, Inc. Quality Assurance Inspector in Rensselaer, Indiana
Perform final inspection on Commercial line of Talbert products using the Sales Order to determine conformity to customer requirements as well as overall design, performance, and quality specifications and DOT regulations; including rejecting units that do not meet Talbert standards
Take images of Commercial products after approving for internal documentation
Generate release paperwork to Sales and Accounting to notify them a product is ready for pick-up for both Commercial and Military units
Maintain and distribute daily status tracking of Military and Commercial units
Communicate with Production and Sales on in-process units
Final processing of Military trailers (images, locks, and keys), and sign-off of FIR
Assist other Quality Assurance Inspectors with their functions as needed
Support established Talbert Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Department initiatives.
Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives to strengthen processes and procedures in support of the Quality Management System.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis as needed to determine gaps (disparities?) in Talbert processes.
Participate in Internal and Third-Party auditing as needed to support Talbert maintain their ISO 9001-2015 certification
Provide input on warranty claims from customers/dealers.
Backup responsibilities include Military trailer inspection
Follow Talbert safety and environmental protocols.
Wear appropriate PPE.
Must be able to perform physical aspects associated with position including lifting, bending, crouching, twisting, reaching, and climbing
May be required to support additional shifts
Perform other duties and responsibilities which may become necessary to support the company
