Job Summary: The Risk Adjustment Submissions Manager is a core member of the Risk Adjustment team who specializes in submission of healthcare encounter data to CMS, use of the submissions platform to manage submissions and errors, applicable regulatory edits and business rules. The Risk Adjustment Submissions Manager maintains the throughput of encounter data to the proper regulatory agency, troubleshoots, and initiates or performs corrective actions to ensure all encounters are reported in a timely and compliant manner. This position will interact with regulators, vendors, business operations, IT and software developers and will provide Encounter filing subject matter expertise for both Medicare Advantage and Commercial lines of business. This position will have operational ownership of all encounter data submissions.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Requirements

  • 4-year degree, or 5 – 7 years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

  • In-depth knowledge of claim processing rules and related edits employed by CMS and/or States for encounter filing and/or regulatory data submissions for EDGE.

  • Experience with HIPAA/EDI X12 v5010 healthcare related file formats

  • In-depth knowledge of industry standard health data code sets, such as ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, Revenue Codes, etc.

  • Proficiency with regulatory requirements associated with HIPAA, CAQH CORE, Affordable Care Act; State Medicaid.

  • Test scenario/script development expertise.

  • Exceptional ability to clearly and effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

  • SQL - Data Mining skills preferred: Comfortable with raw data files in their native format and accessing these through various servers
