Leidos Health Solutions Business Area, Performance and Readiness has an opening for a Senior SME - Human Performance and Warfighter Readiness. The position is remote with some travel for conferences and customer meetings.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior SME to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Performance and Warfighter Readiness, with specific exposure to DoD, DHA and the Office of Personnel and Readiness customers. This individual should have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with leaders and key stakeholders in the health and readiness space. The Senior SME will work with Division leadership and Leidos Business Development and Capture teams to provide subject matter expertise and contact development in order to drive business growth and expansion within the DoD, DHA, P&R as well as other civilian agencies. The Senior SME will leverage their industry knowledge and network to identify opportunities and drive revenue. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to expand the current customer base and achieve business targets.

In this role, the candidate will focus on strategic partnerships for designated customers for the wide range of capabilities offered by Leidos.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Contribute, Develop and Execute a comprehensive strategy to drive growth within the human performance and readiness capability space.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including DoD leaders, government agencies, and vendor partners.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet the needs of the Human Performance and Readiness clients.

  • Lead discussions with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes for Leidos.

  • Monitor market trends, technology, opportunities to innovate and competitive activities, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy.

  • Participate as required in the Leidos strategy and business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal reviews.

  • Serve as a customer advocate by helping to identify mission needs and represent the customer perspective.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 15+ years of prior relevant experience (additional education, training or experience may be considered in lieu of degree). A degree in the life sciences is preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in driving strategy, shaping, discovering and marketing opportunities to drive revenue growth and achieving business targets

  • Strong network of relationships within DoD. Relationships within other civilian agencies are also desired.

  • Knowledge of contract vehicles government process and procurements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans to achieve objectives.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value.

  • Relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME) in human performance and readiness

  • Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts.

  • Prior experience of collaboration efforts outside the organization.

  • Experience in relationship building that increases market penetration and leads to increased opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow all aspects of a business area successfully including customers, people, programs, financials, and new business over multiple years.

  • Experience with breaking into new accounts / customers through effective capture tactics.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
