Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the maintenance of the customer level data elements for the Wealth segment.
As part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Services team, this position supports the manipulation, preparation, and validation of data for the Wealth segment as well as analytical use cases. The associate will utilize standard systems, tools and reports to ensure data quality in both operational systems, Master Data Management (MDM), Salesforce CRM and analytical data marts.
The role provides Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to data and systems supporting the line of business. Stewards act as a central custodian of MDM and related systems data and ensure data is accurate and integrated between all relevant systems. This role is critical in Key’s pursuit of data-driven business strategies, business decisions and analytics. The successful candidate is inquisitive and detail-oriented with a passion for assessing and improving data and information quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensure client data attributes conform to established requirements
Monitor data changes and maintain client records
Define data critical attributes and partner with the Line of Business to develop data standards, procedures, and policies for master data
Resolve and escalate data quality issues to correct problems at the source where possible
Implement and lead data cleansing activities
Participate in regularly scheduled and ad hoc Data Steward meetings, forums, work groups, and educational sessions
Participate in training and meetings to facilitate the sharing of data across functional areas and understanding of stewardship best practices
Ability to build strategies on data initiatives
Responsible for the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across the organization
Work with the business stakeholders and technology teams to understand business impact, user requirements and feasibility of data management solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and leverage data-driven opportunities for business process optimization
Engage with teams across various functions and regions to address data related issues and support their data needs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 1 years of data analysis experience
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.) and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- System knowledge in Salesforce, Master Data Management, Mainframe

Communication: Developing written and verbal skills; beginning to develop ability to organize information in clear, consistent format; Capacity to develop ability to articulate a clear, well thought-out message and formal delivery; Minimal skills in creating PowerPoint presentations

Partnering / Influencing: Work typically assigned by manager; limited business partner interaction; developing ability to build relationships, partner, and influence
Business Acumen: Good understanding of the Wealth segment and systems, Developing basic understanding of business partner strategy; Building financial acumen
Critical Thinking / Problem Solving: Developing critical thinking skills; Can analyze simple issues with low complexity; Can give perspective to the team addressing basic business/analytical problems and challenges; Recognizes need to escalate issues in a timely manner

As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. If located near a KeyBank location, the position in the future may work partially from a Key facility. If not located near a Key facility, team will consider remote workers.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000.00 to $85,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
