Applied Materials Motion Control Engineer in Rehovot, Israel

We are looking for a skilled Electronics Engineer to join our R&D department's Motion and Controls group to contribute to the development of complex and high precision mechatronic systems.

As a designer, you'll lead high-impact projects from inception to production, overseeing the entire development process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical leadership on high-precision motion control engineering projects;

  • Work closely with multiple groups across the organization

  • End-to-end ownership of the development process, from high-level system specification to production;

  • Architectural and detailed design, modeling and simulation using tools such as Matlab and Python;

  • Conducting concept and feasibility studies;

  • Selecting appropriate technologies and vendors;

  • Perform lab testing and ensure seamless system integration;

  • Provide support throughout the product lifecycle.

What it takes to be successful:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or related field;

  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics principles and communication protocols, familiarity with motors, drivers, sensors, servo controllers;

  • Hands-on approach;

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand non-standard problems and find innovative solutions;

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills;

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
