This position is contingent upon contract award. A secret security clearance is also required. Must be a graduate of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army or other Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) course of instruction.
Job Title: Aircraft Mechanics and Service Technicians (ALSE Technical Inspector) (contingent)
Job Responsibilities:
• Performs general administrative and technical duties that includes serving as a point of contact for supply and calibration actions involving ALSE, knowledge of and ability to utilize automated ALSE tracking systems to enter, modify, retrieve, and/or delete ALSE inspection data and requirements.
• Use and evaluate new Aviation Life Support Equipment.
• Operates test equipment in the maintenance and inspection of ALSE.
• Performs major and minor repairs, modifications, maintenance and inspection of all items of life support equipment in shop and flight line environments with minimal supervision, using various types of state-of-the art diagnostic testers, sewing equipment and specialty tools.
• Ability to forecast material requirements/repair parts as necessary to accomplish mission, while maintaining supply economy and discipline.
• Performs quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment.
• Adheres to the company’s AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
• Must be a graduate of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army or other Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) course of instruction.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as an ALSE technician in addition to a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an aircraft maintainer or crewmember.
• Must be able to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications, and drawings in accomplishing work.
• Must be able to interpret Army, Air Force, Navy, and commercial technical publications.
• A secret security clearance is required.
