System Power Validation Test Engineer

Location: Onsite - Redmond, WA

Placement Type: Managed Service Project

Pay: $50-$68/hr - based on qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute power validation test plan for system-level power consumption and power state transition with minimal supervision.

• Perform power measurements and analysis during different user scenarios, including USB PD plugged-in, charge time, and battery life under various conditions.

• Ensure data collected meets power measurement expectations.

• Validate power budgets and ensure alignment with component and subsystem specifications.

• Offer preliminary failure analysis and troubleshooting before collaborating with test lead and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve test setup and power-related issues.

• Document test procedure, test results and provide detailed reports on power performance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 year' experience in a hardware-related role.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in system power validation and testing, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.

• Understanding of power management principles and power delivery systems.

• Knowledge of batteries, battery management systems, and/or power electronics.

• Proficiency in using power measurement tools and equipment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with battery management systems and power delivery protocols.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to power consumption and efficiency.

• Familiarity with scripting languages for test automation.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr.
