Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the data centers. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Senior Supply Chain Manager role is key in supporting our Graphic Processing Units (GPU) / Artifical Intelligence (AI) growth; connecting between our System Integrators (suppliers) and our Customers (Capacity Planning, New Product Initiative, Deployment Excellence and Data Center (DC) Operations teams and responsible for managing the operational execution and delivery of GPU rack supply. Relying heavily on Customer Service fulfillment metrics and establishing key performance indicators (KPI's) (milestones, work-back schedules, Cycle time, throughput) this role will take an order fulfillment focused view holding key internal MSFT functions responsible for their deliverables to our supply base and hold our System Integrators (Suppliers) accountable for timely and defect-free server delivery, by driving proactive communication and root-causes resolution to problem areas.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be working on key projects and business initiatives. The primary focus will be on process improvements driving operational excellence.

  • Customer Service Fulfillment metrics monitoring; Coordinate and Communicate internal and external messaging on changes to demand delivery, updates, and impact, through customer fulfillment metrics monitoring. Responsible for Server Order Book management (Date change management, Demand prioritization and supply allocation assessments) and will maintain high data integrity standards in Server Open Book for internal and external data and ensure changes are filed correctly.

  • High Focus on Order Fulfillment activities to help develop Supplier operational/ production processes and transform those processes into System Engineering tools, continuously focusing on automating transactional functions, resulting in on time, defect free capacity to our customers.

  • Develop and drive Microsoft Internal and external key performance Indicators and metrics. Including, Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring, on-time delivery, Purchase Order Milestone Adherence, order promising, critical order management and risk analysis.

  • Achieve delivery performance targets as developed to support business needs, while consistently evaluating opportunities and supporting process updates to enhance supply chain performance.

  • Manage supply base engagement process, including supplier operational review meetings, metrics, improvement plans and issue resolution.

  • Manage and communicate tradeoffs between our supplier and business needs within Microsoft.

  • Responsible for managing continuous improvements and process initiatives in parallel to day-to-day business operations.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 7+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean-6 sigma black/green belt, Kaizen, or relevant project and process experience preferred

  • 10+ years' supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environment

  • 7 to 10 years supply chain operations and/or supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environment

  • Understanding in the use of Excel, Power Point, SQL, Access, and Power BI, experience in IT / high-tech electronics or Manufacturing / Service supply chain

  • Communication, problem solving skills - ability to manage competing priorities, set clear expectations, collaborate, identify objectives, develop and deliver feedback in written, oral, and presentation formats for partner teams, and senior executive management

  • Project Management skills involving multiple global System Integrators and Internal partners. High comfort with handling multiple ongoing priorities and escalations

Supply Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
