As a Senior Product Manager on our team, you will help shape the vision of the Power, Performance and Thermal strategy for Surface and other products.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas. You’ll also identify long-term investment opportunities and engage partners to garner support for those feature areas.

  • You will help define a feature set and facilitate mid-level usability reviews with customers. You’ll own the roadmap for multiple feature areas, and will collaborate with a partner team to build golden configurations and drive scenario walkthroughs.

  • You will scale Product Marketing teams by helping build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans. You’ll also promote the feature areas you worked on and present at large events.

  • You will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs in order to improve product development in targeted areas. You’ll also identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers.

  • You will write Functional and Feature Specifications with customer problems to be solved in mind.

  • You will drive the development process of firmware and tools for Surface including bug management, triage and investigations.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience optimizing software or hardware power and performance on shippable products.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Deep knowledge of power/performance trade-offs in consumer electronic devices, and exposure to silicon architecture, design, process physics is highly desired but not mandatory.

  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, an initiative-taker and a problem-solver.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
