Insight Global Reliability Technician in Redmond, Washington

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Reliability Technician to sit in Redmond, WA.

As a Reliability Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks throughout the facility. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast paced, start-up like environment. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.

Key job responsibilities

Perform Design Verification Test on component level (power regulators, serial interfaces, etc.) using oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, etc.

Setup equipment and run environmental tests in thermal and TVAC chambers

Operation of environmental test chambers (Thermal cycling, vacuum, HALT/HASS)

Install instrumentation on various types of hardware and fixtures

Execute electronic test procedures that part of a system level testing

Create reports using collected test data

Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated

Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems

Write and/or modify Python scripts

A day in the life

A technician in this role will play a valuable part in ensuring hardware is tested and ready to be integrated on a satellite. You will have to be comfortable in a high paced environment and being able to multitask while still being able to produce high quality work.

Skills and Requirements

1-3 years of related work experience

Know how to operate the environmental test chambers

Install instrumentation on various types of hardware and fixtures

Execute electronic test procedures of component and system level testing

Bachelors Degree + 1 year of experience

No bachelor's degree + 3 years of industry experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

Experience with Jupyter notebooks and Jupyter widgets is a big plus.

Knowledge of materials science or chemistry is an advantage. null
