Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

Research and test operating systems-level software compilers, and network distribution software. Plan, architect, deploy, or support complex client/server or base software systems. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. Establish standards for a design, architecture, and recovery process that results in comprehensive, scalable recovery plans across multiple groups and services. May develop or create an implementation, validation, and rollback plan. Troubleshoot technical barriers and resolve escalations by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes. Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to external customers. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, or other related degrees.
  • Experience: 12 months of software-related, centralized and coordinated program, product, or project management experience and/or experience in designing, developing and releasing software products or services.
  • Specific Skills: Education or Experience in: Routing technologies; Virtual Networks; Software Defined Networking; VPN technology; Automated Testing Tools; Data Structures; and Scripting.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V7957978), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $144,430 to $174,430 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.? 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
