Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The incumbent is an entry level Respiratory Therapist who can perform all therapies provided by the Respiratory Care department throughout the hospital with minimal to moderate assistance with the exception of NICU.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) months working clinical experience as a student RCP
Associates Degree from an advanced level education program with current California State provisional license
CA RESP license
AHA (American Heart Association) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
RG RRT must be obtained within 6 months of hire
EEG Competency within 1 year of hire
NPS credentialing must be completed within 2 years of hire
Must be able to clearly communicate in English and possess critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital
Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS) certification
Pay Range
$50.85 - $56.74 /hour
