Sweet Little Friends LLC Daycare Director - Bilingual Preferred in Reading, Pennsylvania
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our daycare team. As a Daycare Director , you will play a crucial role in managing a safe and nurturing environment for staff and children. Duties: - Engage in meetings with management & staff. - Administrating personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation - Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the facility. - Able to assemble and organize the childcare team - Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment - Provide basic first aid when necessary - Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive learning environment - Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress
*Requirements : *A Director shall have attained (one) of the following qualification levels : -
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and one year of experience with children - A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and two years of experience with children - An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and three years of experience children. - An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and four years of experience with children. Our Ideal Candidate: -Bilingual in both English and Spanish is highly preferable as we have both English & Spanish speaking staff/parents and children - Flexible schedule - Team Building skills - Team Player - A director should be present at the facility minimum thirty hours a week. - Administrating the facilities program, objectives and activities. - Previous experience working with children (daycare, babysitting or nanny) - Coordinating and planning daily activities with the group supervisors or with the assistant group supervisors in school age programs. -Overall program planning. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level
