Salary: £26k - £31k (depending on experience)

Location: Office-based role in Reading (RG1 7QF) Mon - Fri 9-5pm

The Role

The Employment & Sales Specialist provides a pivotal and valued service within the team by supporting the sustainable employment of disadvantaged people within our communities. You will build and maintain external relationships with employers and our customers by focusing on matching skillsets and values with local employment opportunities. Ideal for anyone with sales, business development, account management or recruitment experience.

You will be…

  • Promoting an awareness on Fedcap services and benefits

  • Developing relationships with local businesses and carving job positions beneficial to employers and individuals served

  • Working towards agreed targets and KPIs

  • Supporting internal teams, including Employment Advisers and Tutors, to better prepare customers through a shared understanding of job specifications, and requirements.

  • Planning and conducting events such as jobs fairs and employer days

  • Working in a collaborative manner with both external partners and internal colleagues to minimise duplication of effort, and ensure personal, team and business targets/objectives are met.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience of business development, account management, sales and meeting targets

  • Experience of working in a customer focused and service delivery environment

  • Knowledge of the local regional and national labour market

  • Understanding of employer’s needs, experience of training needs analysis (TNA’s) and organisational needs analysis (ONA’s), translating these in to fit-for-purpose programmes and services

  • Knowledge of legislative employment regulations including safeguarding.
