Position Summary:
The Next Gen Enterprise Master Data System (EMS) is a fundamental, and complementary component of our Supply Chain Digital Services. It provides a single standardized view of J&J products across the Supply Chain. Multiple global initiatives require such view of JnJ materials and Next Gen system is one stop shop solution for them.
This position has a major focus on supporting global initiatives and their requirements pertaining to global single harmonized material view. The role is essential to maintaining seamless enterprise material data operations and preventing disruptions to core business functions. It will support key activities carried out by the Supply Chain Data Management Team, including:
Material Master Data Management: Ensure enterprise material data is ready for all the downstream subscribers to consume.
Error Resolution & Troubleshooting: Leverage subject matter expertise to resolve master data quality errors and support issue resolution for subscribing platforms.
Integration & Alignment: Execute and initiate critical business processes, such as data enrichment and data reservation, within the application to ensure smooth integration while managing large-scale master data setup, including the maintenance of over 1.5 million records.
Testing & Platform Support: Engage with and provide testing support to subscribing platforms for data validation and system readiness as needed.
Future ERP Readiness: Enable provisioning and setup of golden records in future-state ERPs, ensuring production-ready material data for efficient operations.
Support Execution for Readiness: Assist in the execution of supply chain data readiness initiatives to meet business requirements,
Key Responsibilities:
Member of cross-franchise/cross-regional projects accountable for demonstrating and evolving the Enterprise Master Data Management design and capabilities via:
Data Analysis and Error Resolution
Gather and analyze data to identifying patterns, apply lessons learned and prioritize to solve issues.
Drives error analysis to uncover root cause and recommends processes to ensure errors do not reoccur and for productivity/efficiency improvements.
Ensure Enterprise Material Number readiness via harmonization, Data cleansing and data profiling activities.
Reviews and resolves Next Gen EMS Data Quality Reports and researches data field discrepancies across ERP systems.
Data Architecting and Design
Participate in design workshop and set the Process and System Design based of the requirements
Ensure robust system process documentation are in place and periodically review and update SOP’s/WI’s as needed
Collaboration
Collaborate with Business and IT teams to shape and design end-to-end solutions for positive customer interactions. Partner closely with the Information Technology (IT) organizations to ensure that the business requirements are effectively and correctly translated to the technical design, configuration, and documentation
Participate and help drive product roadmap and take ownership of Product Backlog Management, providing an oversight of Training, Communication and User Acceptance.
Lead and partner with teams to “tell the story”of Next Gen EMS and feature releases; contribute to the creation and distribution of messages through various Johnson & Johnson communication channels to reach defined audiences and to promote awareness of changes
Partners with Regional Operations and Cross functional Teams, to address and resolve discrepancies with Enterprise Material Numbers and Golden Record Material Master Data.
Mentors and assists Co-Ops and Temporary/Summer Interns.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience: 4+ years of industry experience in supply chain with 5 years of business experience in master data, supply chain, or operations is required.
Skills/Abilities:
Deep technical knowledge and skills to apply visualization and analytical toolset across a variety of datasets. SQL*Plus, excel, and related technical skills required
Experience in Data Architecture/Design Skills- Data, Process, Business Rules, Quality, Metadata, Data Integration
Advance skills in MS Office Suite and other enabling technologies (e.g. SQL, analytics tools, Visio)
End to end knowledge of Supply Chain business processes (e.g., Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Quality) is a plus
Strong interdependent partnering skills, interpersonal communication, and influencing skills required
Multi-functional/Cross-Company Working Experience
Analytical skills, problem solving using data facts required
Effectively probes and questions to draw out all business needs is required
Knowledge of ERP Systems - SAP OR JDE or equivalent is required
User Acceptance Test Script Writing Experience is a plus

- The anticipated salary for this position will be between 77,000- 124,200 USD$. Bay Area California 89,000- 142,600 USD$
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
