CITY OF RALEIGH Administrative Specialist - Parks and Natural Resources in Raleigh, North Carolina
The
Administrative Specialist for the City of Raleighs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department will provide essential clerical and administrative support to the Park Maintenance Division. This role involves preparing meeting agendas and minutes, managing schedules, processing forms and documents, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal staff and the public. The position will be stationed at the beautiful Dorothea Dix Park and will have a variety of duties primarily supporting the Engagement Team, which includes Refuse, Athletic Field and Aquatics Maintenance, and Destination Parks Teams.
Responsibilities include maintaining records, updating databases, coordinating logistics for meetings and events, and assisting with budget monitoring. The ideal candidate will help ensure smooth operations by handling various administrative duties with attention to detail and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide specialized administrative support, including preparing agendas, attending meetings, and taking minutes
- Coordinate schedules, review correspondence, and recommend office procedure improvements
- Prepare and update various documents, including reports, presentations, and policy materials
- Process forms such as requisitions, invoices, reimbursements, and monitor deadlines
- Provide customer support, perform basic research, and route requests to appropriate resources
- Maintain databases, update records, and assist with document scanning, filing, and audits
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and four years of related clerical and/or office support experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
