JOB SUMMARY
General Medical/Neurology located on the second floor is a 26 bed, adult medical-surgical unit serving a wide variety of patients suffering from various states of disease. The patient population that the General Medical/Neurology team cares for includes general medical-surgical patients suffering with UTIs, sepsis, pneumonia, renal issues, cardiac issues, GI issues, cellulitis, and diabetic complications. Along with the general medical-surgical patients, General Medical/Neurology cares for medical-surgical level neurology patients including patients suffering from strokes, traumatic brain injury, TIAs, seizures, and altered mental status. General Medical/Neurology team also cares for patients suffering with behavioral health related concerns.This position is responsible for supporting the operations of the patient care unit by providing clerical duties and communications activities.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
