We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Expeditor to join our dynamic purchasing team. The Junior Expeditor will play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and supplies by coordinating and expediting orders with suppliers. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail to maintain efficient procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm order statuses, delivery schedules, and address any issues or delays.
- Update and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery dates, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to prioritize and expedite urgent orders as needed.
- Work closely with internal departments, such as production and logistics, to understand their material requirements and timelines.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to deliveries, including quantity, quality, and documentation problems.
- Generate and distribute regular reports on order status, delivery performance, and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the expediting function.
