Job Description
A growing general contractor that specializes in government agency projects is seeking a Construction Inspector to support their airport project. The Construction Inspector will play a crucial role in supporting their retail interior fit-out projects throughout an airport project, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth, development, and long-term stable work within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Monitor and document the progress of construction activities, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections and findings.
Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
Assist in resolving any construction-related issues that may arise during the project.
Provide guidance and support to construction teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience as a Construction Inspector
Interior Fit-Out experience
Experience handling general inspections including MEP, Structural, and Architectural
Proficiency in Construction Management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.
Ability to collaborate with contractors, project managers, and superintendents on site
Experience reviewing drawings
Q/A and Q/C experience, retail construction, MEP Inspection
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Construction Inspector certifications preferred
Work Environment
Fully on site at the airport. Will report to the owner of the company and a representative. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
