Summary This position is located in the Policy Division of Industrial Security (IS), DCSA. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Senior Policy Advisor and provides policy guidance, direction and oversees the managing of policy functions in support of Industrial Security operations and missions. Engages in policy planning for DCSA. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: - Supervises and manages a team of Security Specialists and contractors managing Industrial Security policy development, coordination, and management, assigned tasks and actions to ensure they are assigned, tracked, and completed within the suspense associated with the Industrial Security mission. - Oversees the planning and execution of implementing policy and guidance to support the Industrial Security mission. - Provides advice and guidance on policy, law, and regulations for Industrial Security. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-14 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience in supporting industrial security policy by managing requirements, near/long-term engagement planning and creation of executive level documents to support IS strategy. Also, experience in overseeing the planning and execution of implementing policy and guidance to support security missions as well as providing advice and guidance on policy, law, and regulations in support of security missions and programs.
